                Meet the Artist

Linda Cassara, owner/artist was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Throughout the years, Linda has experimented in various forms of art including oil painting, water colors, pottery, and needlework.  In the early 1980's, when living on Long Island, NY, she took an adult education course in stained glass and fell in love with art glass.  While working a full time job in sales and marketing during the day, at night, she began to create beautiful stained glass works for her family and friends. In 1985 Linda established Osprey Originals and began selling her work to clients in many prestigious Long Island communities, including the Hamptons.

Linda moved to Maryland in 1995, and by 1996, had reestablished Osprey Originals as a quality art glass business.  In 1997 Linda expanded her business to include glass etching and carving.  Having taken courses from renowned experts in the field, Norm and Ruth Dobbins, Linda has been able to combine these technical skills with her artistic talents and create elegant custom designs for applications such as entryways, shower enclosures, cabinet doors, and room dividers.

Now Osprey Originals art glass creations can be seen in homes and businesses from New York to South Carolina and as far west as California, and Hawaii.  While Linda's main location is now near Charleston, South Carolina, she continues to maintain a secondary location in Maryland.
